La Diosa Madre cuida de sus hijos e hijas, nos trae las lluvias, las manadas de animales, los frutos y las raíces que podemos comer. Ella hace que las mujeres den a luz a la siguiente generación y que las hembras de los animales que cazamos sean fértiles.
Ella es la más poderosa entre todos los dioses y diosas, pues es la madre de todas las cosas.
Las "Venus" paleolíticas siempre muestran mujeres con grandes pechos, vulvas muy marcadas, amplias caderas y buena reserva de grasas. Hoy en día este tipo de belleza se mantiene en África, pero en occidente el canon grecolatino impuso la mujer delgada y la belleza "oronda" ha ido poniéndose de moda y desapareciendo dependiendo del hambre que se pasara en la época (a más hambre, mas sexys las "gorditas").
La belleza es muy subjetiva y no es universal. A mi esta venus me parece muy atractiva y bella.
He hecho un homenaje personal a las venus paleolíticas, principalmente me he basado en la "Venus de Willendorf" y tras comparar posibles ejemplos de lo que llevaba la estuatilla en su cabeza (pelo rizado, gorro de hebras trenzadas u otras posibilidades) yo he elegido un tocado de cordado (mi primera opción fue un tocado de conchas, pero quedaba muy "lentejuelas"). Mi diosa va cubierta de barro que le da ese color entre naranja y ocre. A diferencia de la Venus de Willendorf (que se muestra sin abalorios), mi diosa lleva collares y abalorios de cuentas, de conchas y de fibras vegetales además de trenzados en el cuerpo al estilo de las venus paleolíticas orientales (venus de Kostenki).

This Venus seems very attractive and beautiful to me.I have made a personal tribute to the Paleolithic Venuses, mainly I have based myself on the "Venus of Willendorf" and after comparing possible examples of what the statuette wore on her head (curly hair, cap of braided strands or other possibilities) I have chosen a corded headdress (my first choice was a shell headdress, but it was very "sequined"). My goddess is covered in mud that gives her that color between orange and ocher. Unlike the Venus of Willendorf (shown without beads), my goddess wears necklaces and beads made of beads, shells and plant fibers, as well as braided on her body in the style of the Eastern Paleolithic Venuses (Kostenki Venus).

​I have based myself on the movable art figurines of the Venus of Willendorf and the Venus of Kostenki to make my Mother Goddess. You can see examples of these figurines below this text. As you can see, both are naked, but the second has ropes around her torso and waist. The Venus of Willendorf wears a complex braid or cordate cap.
